With seemingly no choice out there but to pay an expensive rate and plan for cell phones, that offered it simple and unlimited, quality and current I became appalled and against the monopoly and lack of alternative choices. - So I researched and found something none of my non tech, non-telecommunication, and non-geek every day all American friends and family would have ever heard of nor really followed my explaining the big deal and new platform Republic Wireless is being built and designed on. So instead I quietly ordered one for me, gave it to my nontech husband, who wouldn't know the difference as he had never used a smartphone, made sure even he, as in keep it easy, simple and smooth, liked it then ordered myself one. A year later I am happy to say I am now on a mission, to help those that can't afford $100's and $100's of dollars a month for their family's phones, but just do, because they do not know there is another choice. If I had the funds, I would buy these folks one phone at a time, so they too could start saving money they so desperately need.
We spend $19/mo on our phones, each. With tax a total for the two of $42.21 unlimited everything, talk text data. I love it. I am thankful for an option! I have friends that spend $500/mo on phones, and this is just a family of four! A typical american middle income family! That is crazy and so much money!
I am excited to try the Moto X, for an even better experience, a more complete experience, like with MMS and better hand off. However that is a purchase that is a few months away, and for my birthday to get this new phone, as it is $299, or $199 with a rebate.
